Maria Da’adoush

Maria Da’adoush graduated from the University of California Los Angeles with a degree in Creative Writing. She took part in a number of writing retreats.

• In 2015 she was honored by Claire Carmichael for her novel writing.
• In 2018 she won the Katara award for the YA novel in Qatar.
• In 2019 she won the Shoman Foundation Award for her Science fiction novel in Jordan.
• IN 2020 she won two awards, the Khalifeh Award and the Arab Publishers’ Multaqa Award.

Maria is an instructor at the Edrak online platform for teaching creative writing. During the last 3 years, Maria published over 50 books for children and young adults. 8 of them were translated to other languages.
