Mohammed Casper is an Egyptian novelist, playwright, and children’s author. He’s won multiple awards for theater and published stories for all ages.

Biography

Mohammed Casper, an Egyptian novelist and playwright, was born in Alexandria in March 1991. He holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from Atanoma University in Spain, earned in 2016.

He is a member of the screening committee at the Alexandria Short Film Festival and has been involved in the editing of the Luxor African Cinema Festival newsletters in the years 2019, 2020, and 2021. Additionally, he practices film criticism on various online platforms.

Mohammed has published numerous illustrated children’s stories with various publishing houses, along with a novel for adults.

He has received several awards, notably the Alaa Jabr Award for Best Adult Theatrical Text for his work titled “Al-Waha” in 2022. In 2020, he won the Best Theatrical Text for Children award from the Arab Theatre Authority in Sharjah for his work titled “Seif Al-Hares,” and in 2019, he won the Best Theatrical Text award in a literary competition for his work titled “Ahd Al-Asad.”

Furthermore, Casper has received several grants and artistic residencies.
